I just posted a set of pics of Cocal Brown Beach in Utila, Honduras. This has a nice view of the Cays.

I just uploaded a set of pictures of Utila Town – the only town on the island of Utila in Honduras. (The link to the page is in the left sidebar.)

This sign is close to the street since the bakery was set back a ways from the street.

We made a stop here every morning for delicious fresh bread!
Just one of the many highlights of our Utila Honduras vacation!

I just uploaded the first video of the trip. (Many more to come!) This video is of the east side of the island with the highest point of the island in the background – Pumkin Hill.
Come back later for more.

Getting around Utila is quite easy. You can travel Utila by foot, bicycle, scooter, taxi, golf cart or polaris. Scooters are the most popular way to travel around Utila town.
Here are some photos from Jacamoe (located on the South Shore of Utila Honduras.)
This is a beautiful area and we love the separation for the town. Utila town is close enough to visit via boat but enough removed to make it seem remote.
Here is a great beach on the south shore of Utila, toward the west end of the island. Cocal Brown is just across from Utila Cays.

This what we woke up to on Sunday morning!
It is hard to get adjusted to the heat, sun and humidity but we will be acclimated by the time we leave.
Our first family vacation in over 10 years! We seem to travel a lot to visit family and friends but this is the first time I can remember just the four of us going on a trip together.
I’ve had some trouble with Internet and getting this blog set up but I’ll try to catch up.
There is a lot to take in and I don’t want to be at the computer all day.
